I will tell you what advise do you have to know when you come to Calgary. First if you come in winter had better bring yourself 2 sock, 2 sweater, glove, a hat and good shoes. Second you should speak only in English and think in English.Third, You should bring a headset to cover your ears. fourth, you should have to bring a cellphone to have internet to know what is the weather in all time (very important!).
